BIOGRAPHY: Since becoming a full-fledged music producer in 1991, Ferry Corsten has received success beyond his wildest imagination. Although originally dealing with club tracks, he found his niche after experimenting with the trance genre. His first tune to reach a music chart was in 1996 with "Don't Be Afraid" under the title of Moonman, which reached #46 on the UK Single Chart. The following year, Ferry, along with fellow producer Robert Smit, founded the Tsunami music label to release their dance music. Ferry also participated in various collaborations (such as the Gouryella project with DJ Tiesto), alongside various solo projects including the most popular to date, System F. In 2002, Ferry released his first single release, "Punk", under his own name, with the album "Right Of Way" following behind in 2003. Recently, Ferry Corsten has been experimenting with a new sound, which he has labelled "Loud Electronic Ferocious" (or L.E.F. for short). His 2005 single, "Fire", which samples from Duran Duran's "Serious", best illustrates his new direction. His latest album, entitled "L.E.F.", was released in May 2006. A third artist album, entitled "Twice In A Blue Moon", will be released in November 2008. |
